This leads to pain

This leads to pain, disability, poor performance and a reduced quality of life. We aim to give effective treatment to your pain and discomfort, through accurate diagnosis, based on current research, and returns you to pain-free function quickly. The identification of predisposing factors also forms an essential part of the overall pain and injury management.

Initial sessions usually require a very hands-on approach to assist joints, nerves and muscles to move freely.

As a compliment to manual therapy, clients are encouraged to take a central role in their rehabilitation through postural re-education and personalised exercise programmes. This ensures the chances of symptoms returning are minimised.

Vision

SK Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic are highly committed to providing an exceptional quality of service with respect to the assessment, treatment, education and prevention of injuries associated with the workplace, sporting environment and lifestyle. Our therapists provide a “hands on approach” and will take the time to listen to you and work with you, to create the best possible plan for your recovery..

There is a difference between treating the problem and treating the person. Every problem can have multiple causes. Listening to each patient helps us figure out the root cause, which is the key to resolving the problem.

We listen to each patient’s story and assess the body movements. Our clinical reasoning determines which structures are at fault. We then apply specific therapy techniques to restore proper movement and teach a personalized exercise program to prevent re-injury.

We strive to have our clients feel comfortable in discussing their concerns with us. We communicate with each client’s health professionals, as needed, to ensure that they are receiving the best, comprehensive care possible.
