Mara Dodig

Registered Massage Therapist

I enjoy working with people to protect their future by maintaining their health and wellbeing, Massage Therapy was the natural choice to accomplish this.
I graduated from the highly recognized and respected Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy, where I received training in Swedish Massage, as well as Advanced Techniques such as Trigger Point Therapy, Fascial Techniques and Remedial Exercise. In addition, I am certified in Myotracing Massage, Hot Stone Massage and Reiki 2nd Degree. Myotracing Massage is a non- aggressive form of treatment that allows me to achieve deep, lasting results using light to moderate pressure. This enhances the relaxation effect on the body.
Treatments are always geared towards the patient’s needs. I encourage feedback with regard to comfort, pain tolerance and depth of pressure preferred during the massage. If there any questions that you may have, they will be answered to ensure that you are an educated client.
Whether you are looking to rehabilitate an injury, ease aches and pains, or enjoy the benefits of a relaxation massage, I look forward to meeting you!.

I graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Kinesiology. During my undergraduate degree, I volunteered my time to help with various research studies that were being conducted throughout that Faculty of Kinesiology (sports medicine, motor learning studies, physiological studies and exercise psychology studies). Upon successful completion of the Kinesiology Entry Exam, I licensed myself as a Registered Kinesiologist with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario, and became a Professional Member of the Ontario Kinesiology Association.

I believe that movement is healing. If prescribed and performed correctly, movement and exercise is a powerful tool to help people live healthier. As a Kinesiologist, I want to help as many people understand this and give them the tools they need to bulletproof their bodies from pain and injury.

In my spare time, reading, working out and hiking are my go-to activities. I’m a sucker for a good road trip and who doesn’t like to binge watch movies and TV series on Netflix every now and then?
